- Front strut clamp: 50 or 55 mm diameter
Check the strut clamp diameter directly on the vehicle. Model, model year and engine alone may not reliably identify the correct version.
Maximum axle loads per parts certificate: front up to 1,200 kg | rear up to 1,250 kg. The vehicle applications and conditions stated in the applicable parts certificate remain authoritative.
Vehicles with electronically adjustable dampers (e.g. DCC) require a deactivation kit.
Air management not included – required separately
STREETEC FAHRWairK is the air suspension for drivers who accept no shortcuts in tuning and build quality. Developed in cooperation with KW automotive, air spring and damper work as one tuned unit. When parked, the car can be lowered all the way down and raised back to the approved ride height before you drive off. The complete kit includes dampers and air springs for the front and rear axle and fits the Audi TT and TT Roadster 8J with a 50 or 55 mm strut clamp.
Air spring and KW damper as one unit
With STREETEC FAHRWairK, air spring and damper work as one tuned unit: the shock absorbers are made in cooperation with KW automotive and designed for use with air suspension. On the V2 version the rebound damping is adjustable in 16 clicks. This lets you adapt the damping to your wheels, the season and your preferences without removing the suspension.
Uniball top mounts at the front axle
At the front axle, uniball top mounts replace the factory top mounts. The spherical bearing transfers forces without the compliance of a rubber mount, so steering input reaches the wheels straight away. The top mounts are listed as a component in the parts certificate and are therefore covered by the inspection. Camber can be adjusted via the top mounts.
Low when parked, compliant on the road
You adjust the ride height via air pressure while the car is stationary: aired out for a low stance, back to the approved ride height within the operating pressure stated in the parts certificate before you drive. For driveways and rough stretches the car can be raised while stationary; in that state the maximum speed is 50 km/h. Height adjustment while driving is not intended. Installation must be carried out by a specialist workshop, followed by a wheel alignment, a headlight adjustment check and the modification inspection.
Made for the Audi TT 8J
The kit is designed for the Audi TT and TT Roadster of the 8J series with a 50 or 55 mm strut clamp; the TT 8J is listed in the FAHRWairK parts certificate for the Golf 5/6 platform. Please measure whether your car has 50 .
How to select the correct version
- Check the front axle: identify the strut clamp diameter at the steering knuckle (50 or 55 mm).
- Verify the configuration: check the vehicle data and axle loads against the application list and parts certificate.

Choose Your Air Management
To operate the air suspension you need an air management system with compressor, tank and valve control. Choose the air fitting to match your air management kit. The parts certificate requires a pressure gauge in the driver's field of view and an acoustic warning when the pressure leaves the operating range – please keep this in mind when choosing your system. You will find an overview under air management kits.
