STREETEC performance PRO air suspension is built for drivers who want a car that sits low and still corners with a firm, composed feel. Inverted monotube dampers keep the wheels on line even under high cornering loads. When parked, the car can be lowered all the way down and raised back to the approved ride height before you drive off. The complete kit includes dampers and air springs for the front and rear axle plus top mounts and fits VW Golf 4 platform vehicles with all-wheel drive (4motion, quattro, 4x4) and axle loads up to 1,100 kg.

Rigid dampers for clean turn-in

In an inverted (upside-down) damper the large outer tube sits at the top, so the damper barely flexes under side loads. The car follows your steering input without delay and stays settled through quick sequences of bends. The monotube design keeps damping consistent under load. Front and rear axle receive vehicle-specific shock absorbers matched to the air springs with their vehicle-specific mounts.

Top mounts at the front axle

This kit includes adjustable uniball top mounts for the front axle. They replace the factory top mounts and are listed as a component in the parts certificate – so they are covered by the inspection. If you want to keep the factory top mounts, a version without top mounts is available for this vehicle.

Low when parked, compliant on the road

You adjust the ride height via air pressure while the car is stationary: aired out for a low stance, back to the approved ride height within the operating pressure stated in the parts certificate before you drive. For driveways and rough stretches the car can be raised while stationary; in that state the maximum speed is 50 km/h. Height adjustment while driving is not intended. Installation must be carried out by a specialist workshop, followed by a wheel alignment, a headlight adjustment check and the modification inspection.

Made for the VW Golf 4 platform

The kit is designed for VW Golf 4 platform vehicles with all-wheel drive (4motion, quattro, 4x4) – including the VW Golf 4 and Bora, Audi A3 8L and TT 8N, Seat Leon and Toledo 1M and Skoda Octavia 1U in their all-wheel-drive versions. A separate version is available for front-wheel drive because the rear axle differs. The vehicle list shows which vehicles are covered by the parts certificate.

Choose Your Air Management

To operate the air suspension you need an air management system with compressor, tank and valve control. Choose the air fitting to match your air management kit. The parts certificate requires a pressure gauge in the driver's field of view and an acoustic warning when the pressure leaves the operating range – please keep this in mind when choosing your system. You will find an overview under air management kits.
