STREETEC performance PRO air suspension is built for drivers who want a car that sits low and still corners with a firm, composed feel. Inverted monotube dampers and adjustable uniball top mounts keep the front axle on line even under high cornering loads. When parked, the car can be lowered all the way down and raised back to the approved ride height before you drive off. The complete kit includes dampers and air springs for the front and rear axle and fits the VW ID.Buzz (types EB and EBN).

Rigid dampers at the front axle

At the front axle, inverted monotube dampers do the work: the large outer tube sits at the top, the damper barely flexes under side loads and the vehicle follows your steering input without delay. The dampers are vehicle-specific and extra short. According to the parts certificate the factory dampers remain at the rear axle, where double convoluted air springs provide the suspension.

Spherical bearings instead of rubber mounts up front

At the front axle, adjustable uniball top mounts replace the factory top mounts. The spherical bearing transfers forces without the compliance of a rubber mount: steering input reaches the wheels directly, and you can feel the road surface and the grip limit more clearly through the steering wheel. The top mounts are listed as a component in the parts certificate and are therefore covered by the inspection.

Low when parked, compliant on the road

You adjust the ride height via air pressure while the car is stationary: aired out for a low stance, back to the approved ride height within the operating pressure stated in the parts certificate before you drive. For driveways and rough stretches the car can be raised while stationary; in that state the maximum speed is 50 km/h. Height adjustment while driving is not intended. Installation must be carried out by a specialist workshop, followed by a wheel alignment, a headlight adjustment check and the modification inspection.

According to the parts certificate the kit is designed for the VW ID.Buzz (types EB and EBN, 70–90 kW) without self-levelling. The vehicle list shows which vehicles are covered.

Choose Your Air Management

To operate the air suspension you need an air management system with compressor, tank and valve control. Choose the air fitting to match your air management kit. The parts certificate requires a pressure gauge in the driver's field of view and an acoustic warning when the pressure leaves the operating range – please keep this in mind when choosing your system.
