Type approval (TTG) in preparation
Height sensors are required due to the rolling lobe air springs on the rear axle.
The STREETEC 'Offroad & Camping' complete kit transforms your VW T7 Multivan or California into a capable all-round travel vehicle
– without compromising on weight or ride comfort. At just 10 kg of additional weight over the factory suspension, you
get a full air suspension system with infinitely adjustable ride height between 340 mm and 515 mm at the front axle and
355 mm and 515 mm at the rear axle. Whether you are navigating a gravel track in a fully loaded camper or cruising
comfortably on the motorway: adjust the vehicle height to match the situation at any time.
More ground clearance when you need it
At maximum height, the kit raises your T7 to up to 515 mm on both axles – roughly 75 mm more ground
clearance at the front compared to the factory setup. Unpaved access roads, dirt tracks and uneven campsite terrain become
significantly more manageable. At the same time, you can lower the vehicle to stock height or below for motorway driving – improving
aerodynamics and reducing fuel consumption.
Autoleveling: always level – automatically
The optional STREETEC Autoleveling Box is available as an add-on. It detects load changes automatically and adjusts ride height to
maintain the set target level. Whether you are carrying a full camper conversion, a heavy roof box or varying payloads – the vehicle
stays level at all times. This improves not only ride comfort but also braking performance and headlight alignment under load.
Lightweight engineering meets function
At just 10 kg of added weight over the factory suspension, the STREETEC kit is one of the lightest air suspension
solutions available for the T7. Every kilogram counts – especially on a camper vehicle that is already operating near its payload limit.
The kit uses McPherson struts at the front axle and rolling lobe air springs with separate shock absorbers at the rear, tuned
specifically for the T7's weight profile.
Target Groups
Campers & Touring Enthusiasts
You use your T7 California or Multivan as a travel vehicle and need ground clearance on campsites, dirt roads and unpaved access
tracks – without sacrificing motorway comfort.
Overlanders & Off-Road Enthusiasts
For drivers who take their VW bus off paved roads and need variable ground clearance of up to 515 mm to tackle demanding terrain.
Families with varying loads
Sometimes with bike racks and full holiday gear, sometimes just two passengers: Autoleveling keeps the T7 at the correct height
regardless of payload – for consistently safe handling.
Weight-optimised builds
If every kilogram matters in your camper conversion, the 10 kg weight penalty over stock is minimal – preserving maximum payload
reserve.
